My Story · The Shift

Plot twist: the "dream" I was sold wasn't mine.

For 6 years, I was THAT girl. The one posting on her stories every single day, sliding into DMs, hyping up products I was honestly just okay about, and convincing myself that the breakthrough was right around the corner.

It wasn't.

I was crying… like, a lot. The ugly kind. Because no matter how much I showed up, the results just weren't matching the effort. And I was SO tired. Not just physically, but soul tired. You know that kind?

Oh and the phone thing. They'll tell you "it doesn't even feel like work, you're just on your phone!" And I believed that for way too long. Because what they don't tell you is that you become addicted to your phone, because the second you put it down, the sales stop. That's not freedom. That's just a different kind of trap.

So after 6 years, I finally left.

I had absolutely zero idea what a virtual assistant was. Like, none. But I've always been the kind of person who figures things out, so I gave it a shot.

And I did it without a single cry-posting-on-my-stories moment. Growth.

The flexibility, the income, the fact that I can actually close my laptop and be done for the day, I genuinely didn't know work could feel like this. And I don't think enough people know it's even an option.

But now you do.
